Intern: Web Development and Digital Presence Assistant (Remote)
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Intern: Web Helper with Website to enhance our digital presence and support critical website development and maintenance tasks. This paid internship offers an excellent opportunity for aspiring web designers and developers to gain practical experience in a dynamic, remote environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong interest in web technologies, digital design, and user experience (UX), contributing to the enhancement of our online platforms through innovative solutions and collaborative efforts. Initial focus includes improving resume keywords and website optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing, updating, and maintaining company websites utilizing content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress or Drupal.
- Support front-end development tasks using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and responsive web design principles.
- Contribute to UI/UX improvements by creating wireframes, prototypes, and layout designs with industry tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or InVision.
- Implement SEO best practices to optimize website visibility and performance across major search engines.
- Conduct usability testing and user research to identify areas for enhancement in website accessibility and user experience.
- Collaborate on website analytics using Google Analytics 360, Adobe Analytics, or similar tools to analyze traffic data and improve engagement strategies.
- Assist in website content updates, graphic design tasks using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign, and ensure consistent branding across all digital assets.
- Support ongoing website maintenance activities, including troubleshooting issues related to web accessibility, security updates, and performance optimization.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proficiency in core web development languages: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and SQL.
- Familiarity with modern frameworks such as React or Angular is beneficial.
- Experience with graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and wireframing tools like Balsamiq or Axure.
- Knowledge of digital marketing strategies, including email marketing campaigns via Mailchimp or similar platforms.
- Understanding of UX/UI principles, focusing on usability, accessibility standards (WCAG), and information architecture.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress or Drupal for efficient website management.
- Data analysis skills using Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics to effectively interpret web traffic metrics.
