Responsibilities
- Build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites utilizing the Divi theme and builder.
- Conduct comprehensive website audits to identify improvements in performance, usability, and SEO.
- Collaborate with the Director of GoodRep Media to ensure all client requirements and branding guidelines are met.
- Optimize websites for speed, responsiveness, and search engine visibility.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, including debugging and plugin conflicts.
- Develop and maintain documentation for site architecture, functionality, and updates.
- Stay current with the latest WordPress and Divi features, trends, and best practices.
- Provide technical support and training to clients or team members as required.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in building and customizing WordPress websites, demonstrating a deep understanding of the Divi theme and builder.
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript (PHP knowledge is a plus).
- Sales and marketing mindset necessary to create websites that drive business goals effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills for working with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills coupled with an analytical approach to issue resolution.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field—or equivalent work experience.
- Proven work experience as a WordPress Developer; a portfolio showcasing projects is welcome.
- Solid understanding of website architecture, including UX/UI principles, SEO, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with website hosting, domain management, and security best practices.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Experience with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify and WooCommerce.
- Familiarity with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to assess and improve site performance.
- Knowledge of content management systems and integration with third-party tools (e.g., CRM or marketing automation platforms).
- Basic graphic design skills for minor website elements and layouts.
