Web Developer Essential Job Functions
- Code web pages and solutions using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, JQuery, AJAX, and other relevant programming languages.
- Create and customize websites on CMS platforms like BLOX and WPEngine.
- Document development processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand project objectives and define technical solutions.
- Conduct system testing and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) for new releases.
- Identify root causes of errors in production web solutions and implement effective remediation.
- Engage with third-party providers and vendors for enhancements and troubleshooting.
- Support software and website deployment, updates, and migrations.
- Communicate and collaborate professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across business units.
- Proactively identify problems and develop creative solutions.
- Demonstrate a continuous desire to learn and apply new web technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical training.
- Proficiency in programming languages including PHP, Python, jQuery, and AJAX.
- Understanding of responsive design and mobile device/platform compatibility.
- Basic knowledge of web servers (Apache, IIS).
- Capability to analyze and modify existing codebases for business needs.
- Experience with CMS platform development (e.g., WordPress, BLOX).
- Familiarity with MySQL or MSSQL databases.
- Experience integrating remote services using REST and SOAP APIs.
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills, with adaptability to changing priorities.

This is a fully remote position, though occasional onsite presence may be required. Candidates must reside in Pennsylvania to be considered.
