We are seeking an experienced and reliable Webmaster Consultant to manage, maintain, and optimize our WordPress-based web properties. This critical remote role ensures our websites remain secure, fast, functional, and fully aligned with brand and marketing objectives. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, proactive, and skilled at translating business and marketing goals into effective technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities: Technical WordPress SEO & Maintenance
Website Management & Maintenance
- Maintain all WordPress websites, including themes, plugins, and integrations.
- Perform regular updates, backups, and essential security checks.
- Monitor uptime, site speed, SEO health, and overall site performance metrics.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
Content & Page Management
- Build, update, and optimize new pages, posts, landing pages, and site navigation.
- Format and upload content provided by the marketing/content team.
- Ensure consistent brand standards, styling, accessibility, and mobile-responsiveness across all web pages.
Technical Optimization
- Implement technical SEO best practices (structured data, sitemap updates, redirects, metadata).
- Optimize site performance using caching, compression, CDN usage, and image optimization techniques.
- Support analytics setup, including GA4, Google Tag Manager, pixels, and tracking events.
Development & Customization
- Customize themes or child themes as required for specific projects.
- Implement new features, layouts, or plugins based on project specifications.
- Configure CRM, form, and automation integrations (e.g., ServiceMinder, HubSpot, Vendasta, if applicable).
Quality Assurance & Documentation
- Test cross-browser and cross-device compatibility rigorously.
- Maintain staging environments and coordinate safe deployment processes.
- Document all processes, changes, and development notes thoroughly.
Support & Communication
- Provide timely responses and maintain clear communication with the leadership team.
- Participate in scheduled check-ins for project reviews and prioritization.
- Offer recommendations to continuously improve site performance, structure, and user experience (UX).
Required Skills & Experience: WordPress Webmaster
- 3–5+ years of WordPress webmaster, developer, or site administrator experience.
- Strong understanding of core web technologies: PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress theme architecture.
- Experience managing various hosting environments (e.g., WP Engine, SiteGround, Bluehost).
- Familiarity with GA4, Google Tag Manager, and CRM integrations.
- Strong knowledge of technical SEO principles.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines effectively, and prioritize tasks.
- Experience with multi-site or multi-location web structures is a plus.

Engagement Details & Success Metrics
Engagement Details
- 1099 Independent Contractor status.
- Project-based or monthly retainer structure ($1,500/month).
- Flexible schedule with defined turnaround expectations (e.g., 24–48 hr on non-urgent tasks).
- Must provide own equipment, software, and liability coverage.

- Timely resolution of all technical issues.
