Senior Site Reliability Engineer – Azure Cloud

Concord Technologies is expanding and seeking a full-time Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Sr. SRE) specializing in Azure Cloud engineering solutions. This is a remote role requiring occasional travel to the Seattle, Washington headquarters.

Role Summary:

As a Sr. SRE, you will drive Azure Resource Manager (ARM) based deployments across Azure Local and Azure Cloud environments. Your primary focus is maximizing the reliability, high-availability, and serviceability of production platforms and applications, while strictly adhering to security and compliance standards. You will provide critical input on technical dependencies, establish standards for cloud service consumption by Development teams, and ensure rapid response to customer needs, thereby boosting product reliability and achieving Concord’s business objectives.

Essential Functions:

Successful candidates must demonstrate a passion for Cloud Infrastructure combined with a strong understanding of business impact and urgency for prioritizing team efforts in an enterprise environment.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Leading discussions to improve existing processes or products, proactively reducing downtime risk and increasing system stability.
  • Promoting and maintaining an “automation first” (‘everything-as-code’) mindset while building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Executing assigned work-items efficiently and expediently from a pre-prioritized backlog.
  • Creating and maintaining knowledgebase documentation, including operational runbooks, disaster recovery plans, and regulatory audit compliance evidencing.
  • Providing hands-on break/fix support and diagnostics within the Cloud Infrastructure Reliability Engineering team. This includes provisioning new resources, managing after-hours production releases, writing automation scripts and telemetry queries, and identifying ways to maintain and improve cloud costs.
  • Providing technical review of all release documentation to ensure uninterrupted customer experience and a valid rollback strategy.
  • Participating in regulatory compliance evidencing for audits (HITRUST/SOC2).
  • Interacting with Research & Development, Product Management, and Premium Support regarding code defects, needed enhancements, and cross-team initiatives.
  • Acting as a resource for development teams to assist with build and deployment activities.

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills:

  • 7+ years of DevOps Engineering experience, including at least 3 years with Azure Cloud.
  • Required: Expertise with Azure Monitor and KQL.
  • Required: Expertise using Azure DevOps Pipelines to create Configuration-as-Code.
  • Preferred: Expertise using Azure DevOps Boards with Agile Work-Item Process.
  • Required: Hands-on experience managing PaaS and IaaS in Azure Cloud.
  • Required: 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes (K8s), preferably Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Required: 2+ years of experience debugging coding languages (JavaScript, Python, C#, PHP).
  • Required: Strong scripting skills (PowerShell; BASH; YAML).
  • Implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex environments.

Compensation Range:

$150,000 - $170,000. Range may vary dependent on experience, education/training, etc.
