Our marketing web properties, spanning OurFamilyWizard, Cozi, and FamilyWall, reach millions globally. As our Senior Marketing Engineer, you will assume technical ownership of this investment. Operating at the intersection of Marketing, Engineering, and Data, you will build the essential systems and workflows that enable the Marketing team to operate with speed and confidence. Your contributions will directly influence campaign performance, subscriber growth, and the quality of the user experience we present to families daily.
What You Will Accomplish
- Build and own our comprehensive web analytics and tag management infrastructure. This includes implementing Segment events, conversion pixels, and ad partner tags, alongside maintaining the Google Tag Manager (GTM) foundation to enable tracking and measurement without traditional engineering dependencies.
- Develop and deploy landing pages and campaign assets, creating pages that support both paid and organic campaigns, and building component systems to accelerate future development.
- Drive Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) and experimentation. In collaboration with our Director of Growth Marketing, you will set up and execute A/B tests across our properties to enhance conversion rates, partnering with Marketing to translate results into improved user experiences.
- Maintain the technical health of our web properties, overseeing technical SEO, site performance, structured data, and Core Web Vitals across all three brands to ensure optimal performance positioning.
- Evolve our CMS and publishing infrastructure. You will own the CMS platforms for our three brands and build the necessary infrastructure—including component libraries, templates, and publishing workflows—to empower Marketing to be genuinely self-sufficient in web content management, enabling them to build, ship, and iterate without requiring engineering tickets. This involves evaluating current technology stacks, identifying gaps, and advocating for investment when platforms hinder progress.
- Shape the platform roadmap by contributing a technical perspective to our long-term investment in web properties, including platform modernization and identifying tools that will further accelerate Marketing efforts.
- Own ad operations across all properties, serving as the reliable and responsive point of contact for ad partner requests, including ads.txt, script tags, Prebid configuration, and GAM surface management. You will ensure the smooth functioning of ad revenue streams.

You have end-to-end ownership experience with web properties—from building and shipping to continuous improvement—and you take pride in work that directly impacts business outcomes. You are energized by successful campaign launches, conversion-driving experiments, or implementing new tools that empower teams to create their own solutions.
You are equally comfortable discussing instrumentation strategy with a CMO as you are debugging a tag implementation. You communicate clearly, articulate your priorities effectively, and treat colleagues as partners.
You are a self-directed operator who thrives on ownership. You possess the rigor to ensure your code is correct without external checks. You are genuinely motivated by meaningful work, understanding that the families who use our products rely on them during critical moments in their lives.
You actively leverage AI and automation tools to enhance your workflow, not as a novelty, but as an integral part of your development process. You envision how Marketing could adopt similar approaches: sketching immersive landing pages, generating variants, deploying them, and analyzing performance independently.
What You Bring
- 7+ years of professional experience building and maintaining marketing websites, with required experience in WordPress and/or Drupal. Multi-brand or multi-property experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Google Tag Manager and at least one Customer Data Platform (CDP) such as Segment, mParticle, or similar.
- Proficiency in JavaScript sufficient for building components, debugging integrations, and writing custom GTM tags.
- Experience with AI-assisted tooling in a marketing context, including web development, analytics, and just-in-time problem-solving across diverse tools, data, and technology landscapes.
- Hands-on A/B testing experience with platforms like Optimizely, VWO, LaunchDarkly, or equivalents.
- Solid Technical SEO fundamentals, including understanding sitemaps, the importance of schema markup, and how to interpret crawl reports.
- Clear and confident communication skills with non-technical stakeholders, adept at translating Marketing goals into technical execution without prompting.
- Bonus: Familiarity with PHP, hands-on experience with a headless or composable CMS (e.g., Contentful, Sanity, Storyblok).
