About the Role

To enhance our Development team and strengthen the technical foundation of client projects, we are seeking a Senior Developer (WordPress & Front-End). This role involves building sophisticated, high-performance law firm websites using our proprietary Gutenberg-based WordPress theme.

This position is ideal for a developer who excels at creating custom solutions from the ground up, balancing technical excellence with superior usability. You will transform complex Figma designs into bespoke, conversion-optimized web experiences. You will manage 2-4 concurrent website projects, address client requests, develop custom templates and functionality, and guide sites through development cycles from initial build to post-launch edits. Beyond execution, we seek a proactive individual who can improve processes, elevate our theme library, mentor junior developers, and ensure top-tier quality assurance. This senior-level contributor role will significantly influence team standards.

Responsibilities

Development & Implementation

• Website Development: Build conversion-optimized, high-performance law firm websites using our proprietary Gutenberg-based WordPress theme. Manage 2-4 concurrent website projects from initial build through post-launch edits.
• Custom Template Creation: Develop custom templates and functionality that integrate seamlessly within our theme environment and meet unique client requirements.
• Design Translation: Transform complex Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive WordPress experiences, balancing visual impact with performance and usability.
• Client Request Management: Efficiently handle client request tickets alongside project work, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions.
• Post-Development Support: Execute edits and refinements after development completion and post-launch to ensure client satisfaction and optimal site performance.

Collaboration & Strategy

• Partner with Design, Project Management, Account Management, SEO, and Social teams to ensure all technical deliverables align with client expectations, campaign goals, and performance insights.
• Collaborate with other developers to maintain consistent and optimized code quality, processes, and standards across the team.
• Take full ownership of technical deliverables, proactively communicating status updates and identifying potential workflow issues.

Quality, Optimization & Efficiency

• Quality Assurance Excellence: Establish and maintain rigorous QA processes and testing protocols to ensure every site launch meets high standards for accessibility, performance, and security.
• Process Improvement: Proactively identify development workflow inefficiencies and propose actionable solutions to increase team efficiency and output quality.
• Theme Library Enhancement: Contribute to elevating our proprietary theme library by building reusable components, optimizing existing functionality, and implementing new features.
• Junior Developer Mentorship: Coach and mentor junior developers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing to accelerate their growth and enhance team capabilities.
• Technical Excellence: Stay current with WordPress updates, modern development practices, and emerging technologies to drive technical innovation while maintaining stability.
• Standards & Best Practices: Champion and enforce coding standards, documentation practices, and development methodologies across the team.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in WordPress development and front-end development (agency experience preferred).

• Ability to make theme modifications without causing unintended repercussions
• Gutenberg editor and block development
• WordPress database system with comfort navigating and troubleshooting when needed

Advanced Custom Fields

• Expert-level implementation of ACF fields and field groups
• Build custom Gutenberg blocks integrated with ACF
• Create flexible, reusable content structures for complex layouts

Gravity Forms

• Advanced form development including custom validation and conditional logic
• Experience with GF add-ons, hooks, and custom integrations
• Ability to troubleshoot complex form issues and implement custom solutions

Custom Development & Animation

• Build custom animations and interactive elements using CSS, JavaScript, and modern libraries
• Implement complex, pixel-perfect designs with custom functionality within our theme environment
• Create reusable components and templates that scale across projects
• Experience with performance optimization for animations and interactions

Design Implementation

• Expert-level translation of complex Figma designs into production code
• Deep understanding of responsive design, mobile-first development, and progressive enhancement
• Mastery of cross-browser compatibility and accessibility standards (WCAG compliance)

Tools & Software

• Comfortable using digital communication tools (Slack) on a daily basis
• Familiar with Google suite of tools: Google Docs, Sheets, Google Search Console, etc.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly:

  • Illustrator
  • Media Encoder

Project Management & Collaboration

Proficient with project management and collaboration tools:
