This is a contractor position for a Salesforce Developer, full-time from October to December. While consulting engagements can fluctuate, we prioritize proactive communication regarding workload expectations.
What you’ll do
As a Salesforce Developer, you will leverage your technical and product expertise to design, build, and deliver best-practice solutions for clients using Salesforce and integrated technologies. This interdisciplinary role combines technical development with Salesforce consulting, allowing you to serve as both a trusted advisor and an implementing developer. Given the remote nature of much of the work, strong communication via email, chat, and conference calls is essential. Your responsibilities will include:
- Contributing to project plans, estimates, and scope for proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Understanding client industries, business models, processes, inefficiencies, and pain points.
- Supporting clients with daily platform use, including administration, configuration, email and landing page development, and website/systems integration.
- Designing strategic solutions that consider client goals, capacity, security, and long-term scalability.
- Writing, interpreting, and critiquing technical specifications.
- Implementing technical solutions, from utilizing existing software to custom development and integrations.
- Ensuring adherence to Salesforce platform best practices and enhancing existing code.
- Conducting comprehensive testing for stability and functionality.
- Maintaining code documentation and writing/maintaining test classes for custom development.
- Delivering technical training to clients.
- Monitoring release cycles for new updates.
- Performing other assigned duties.
This role offers remote flexibility, with an option to work from our Toronto office if local. You will report to the VP of Services.

What you’ll bring
- University degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of Salesforce development experience (Apex, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce Flows).
- 2+ years of Salesforce administrative experience.
- Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and/or Nonprofit Cloud.
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer and Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator certifications.
- Strong understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem, architecture, and data models.
- Front-end web development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Back-end web development skills (PHP, C#, Java, Ruby, Python, or Node.js).
- Proactive issue identification and excellent problem-resolution abilities.
- Exceptional planning, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
- A desire to learn, grow, and contribute to a team.
- Flexibility, innovation, and a positive attitude.
Nice to have
- Salesforce Architect, Consultant, and/or Marketing certifications.
- Experience with Data Cloud and/or Marketing Cloud.
- Experience with other Marketing Automation platforms (Hubspot, Marketo, Eloqua).
- Development experience using enterprise web service APIs.
- Thorough understanding of Jira and Google Workspace.
