1. Front-End Web Developer/Engineer (FE)

Position Summary

The Front-End Web Developer/Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining user-facing web applications and websites that provide an accessible, responsive, and intuitive digital experience. The role collaborates with UX designers, content strategists, back-end developers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality web solutions that comply with State of California accessibility standards and modern web development practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop responsive web applications using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks.
  • Build and customize WordPress themes and templates.
  • Convert Figma, Adobe XD, and Photoshop designs into production-ready web interfaces.
  • Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs and back-end services.
  • Ensure compliance with Section 508 and WCAG accessibility requirements.
  • Implement responsive and mobile-first design principles.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum development teams.
  • Utilize version control systems such as Git.
  • Perform testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers, content designers, and stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications (MQ)

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum four (4) years of front-end web development experience within the last six years.
  • Experience with: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Responsive Web Design, WordPress theme development, RESTful APIs, Version Control Systems (Git), Team-based software development methodologies
  • Experience ensuring Section 508 accessibility compliance.
  • Minimum one (1) year supporting a State of California IT project of similar size and complexity.

Desired Qualifications (DQ)

  • Two or more consecutive years of advanced HTML and CSS experience.
  • Experience with: React, Vue.js, Angular, Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS

2. Back-End Web Developer/Engineer (BE)

Position Summary

3. Content Designer (CD)

  • Manage content within CMS platforms such as WordPress and Drupal.

Minimum Qualifications (MQ)
