Wells & Kimich is seeking a dynamic and innovative WordPress Developer to join our vibrant web development team. Duties
- Develop, customize, and optimize WordPress themes and plugins to meet project specifications and enhance website functionality.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement wireframes and develop responsive web designs that ensure seamless user experiences across devices.
- Integrate third-party APIs and develop custom RESTful APIs to enable dynamic content management and data visualization.
- Maintain and improve website performance by implementing scalable architecture, caching strategies, and security best practices.
- Utilize version control tools such as GitHub or SVN to manage code repositories effectively and ensure smooth collaboration within agile teams.
- Conduct unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality deliverables; perform regular site updates and backups.
- Implement SEO strategies, optimize site speed, and enhance overall web presence through effective front-end development using HTML, CSS (including SCSS), JavaScript frameworks like Angular or React, and Bootstrap.
Experience
- Proven experience developing custom WordPress themes and plugins with a strong understanding of PHP, JavaScript (including frameworks like React or Angular), HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
- Familiarity with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, or SQLite; experience with data visualization tools is a plus.
- Hands-on experience working with Docker containers, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or GitHub Actions), Ansible automation, and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of system architecture design principles for scalable web applications; experience with server environments including Linux and Tomcat is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies including Scrum or Kanban; proficient in using project management tools like Jira or Trello.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, GraphQL endpoints, and developing secure web services for e-commerce or other web applications.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices such as version control (Git), unit testing frameworks, continuous deployment processes, and DevOps tools to streamline development workflows.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
