We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled WordPress Cornerstone Developer to join our innovative web development team. Duties
- Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins utilizing Cornerstone to build visually appealing and user-friendly websites.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement wireframes, mockups, and prototypes into fully functional web pages.
- Optimize website performance through code refinement, caching strategies, and responsive design techniques to ensure scalability across devices.
- Integrate third-party APIs, RESTful services, and web services to enhance website functionalities.
- Maintain version control using tools such as GitHub or SVN, ensuring seamless collaboration within agile development cycles.
- Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables that meet project specifications.
- Implement SEO best practices and assist with e-commerce integrations to improve site visibility and sales performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience developing with WordPress, especially using Cornerstone page builder for custom theme creation.
- Strong proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3 (Sass/SCSS), JavaScript frameworks (React, jQuery), and TypeScript.
- Hands-on knowledge of developer tools such as Visual Studio, Chrome DevTools, and code editors like Visual Studio Code.
- Familiarity with backend technologies including PHP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, and SQLite for database management.
- Experience working with Docker containers, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or GitHub Actions), Ansible automation tools, and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Understanding of system architecture principles for scalable web applications and experience with server environments like Tomcat or IIS.
- Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban; experience using Trello or Jira for project management.
- Ability to develop responsive web designs ensuring optimal UX across devices; familiarity with wireframing tools is a plus.
- Strong grasp of RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, JSON data interchange format, and web security best practices.
- Experience working on e-commerce platforms with SEO optimization skills; familiarity with WordPress plugins related to SEO is advantageous.

Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
