Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Website Tester - UX (User Experience) Reviewer to join our dynamic team. This role involves evaluating website interfaces to ensure optimal user experience, functionality, and performance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, user acceptance testing, and web technologies. You will play a critical role in identifying usability issues and ensuring that our digital platforms meet high standards of quality and user satisfaction. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive usability assessments of websites and web applications, focusing on user interface (UI) and overall user experience (UX).
  • Develop and execute detailed test cases based on functional requirements, business analysis, and user stories.
  • Perform various testing types including functional testing, system testing, regression testing, performance testing using LoadRunner or similar tools, and load testing to evaluate system robustness under stress conditions.
  • Utilise automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, or Cucumber for test automation processes to improve efficiency.
  • Analyse test results to identify root cause issues related to bugs, UI inconsistencies, or performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with development teams using DevOps practices involving Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, or TFS for continuous integration and release management.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts by debugging code in languages such as Java, C#, Python, or PHP; utilise tools like Visual Studio or Eclipse for debugging purposes.
  • Engage in requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into effective test scenarios.
  • Document defects clearly within Jira or HP ALM and track resolution progress throughout the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
  • Verify fixes through re-testing and validate that updates meet quality assurance standards before release deployment.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of software testing frameworks including functional testing, system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), regression testing, and performance testing.
  • Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Cucumber (software testing tool), Jenkins, and Maven.
  • Proficiency in programming languages including Java, C#, Python, PHP, or C++, with the ability to write and debug automated scripts.
  • Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript frameworks (Node.js), RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, XML/JSON data formats.
  • Understanding of SDLC models like Waterfall and Agile methodologies including Business analysis practices.
  • Knowledge of databases such as MySQL, Oracle DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB; experience with JDBC/PL/SQL for data validation.
  • Experience working within cloud environments like AWS or Azure is advantageous.
  • Skills in system troubleshooting and root cause analysis to identify issues efficiently across operating systems including Windows and Linux.
  • Ability to perform load and performance testing using LoadRunner or similar tools; familiarity with service-oriented architecture (SOA) and web services integration.
  • Excellent analysis skills combined with attention to detail; capable of creating comprehensive test cases from complex business requirements.
  • Strong communication skills for documenting findings clearly and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
