We are a software company seeking a bright and driven Web Developer skilled in both design and development. Our company specializes in high-end professional design software, offering add-on programs for AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit. We serve landscape architects, irrigation designers, architects, and engineers globally. Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency in JavaScript and CSS.
- Experience with PHP, jQuery, and Linux command line prompts is a plus.
- Knowledge of standard Git practices.
- Ability to write clear, maintainable, and understandable code.
- Proficiency in design and layout.
- Understanding of UI/UX principles, with the ability to explain design decisions.
- Experience with design tools such as Adobe Suite and Figma.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress or Joomla.
- Ability to critically assess AI-based solutions.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to advocate for system architecture choices.
Essential Duties/Functions:
- Maintain, enhance, and debug the company website, client portal, and data entry system.
- Design and implement new web pages.
- New portal system engineering.
- Website optimization, including speed, accessibility, SEO, and UX improvements.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues within a large, legacy PHP codebase.
- Develop and improve frontend functionality using JavaScript.
- Maintain email code and design.
- Ensure branding consistency across all visual design.
- Design, identify, and advocate for improved functionality and user experience.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date project notes in project management software.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
- Applicants must reside in and be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Remain in a stationary position for extended periods while working at a computer.
- Operate a computer and standard office equipment, including repetitive hand movements (e.g., typing, using a mouse).
- Read and interpret information from a computer screen for prolonged periods.
- Communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) using phone, email, messaging, and video conferencing tools.
- Move within a workspace to access materials or equipment.
- Lift, carry, or move items weighing up to 20 pounds.
Minimum Experience/Education:
- Relevant educational background (degree, certificate, or equivalent practical experience) preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of professional Web developer experience.
Benefits and Other Position Information:
- Position Type: Full-time.
- Starting salary between $75,000 and $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
