What You'll Be Working On
This role focuses primarily on advanced WordPress development, maintenance, and enhancement of our existing websites and the creation of new landing pages for treatment programs. You will implement technical solutions to improve user experience and conversion rates.
- Primary focus on WordPress development utilizing Elementor Pro and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF).
- Maintain and enhance our existing WordPress multisite network, which hosts separate websites for various treatment locations and specialized programs.
- Build custom WordPress plugins from scratch when off-the-shelf solutions are insufficient, requiring deep knowledge of WordPress architecture, hooks, and filters.
- Collaborate closely with the design team, translating Figma wireframes and mockups into functional, pixel-perfect, and responsive WordPress sites.
- Perform integration work, connecting websites with patient inquiry systems, insurance verification tools, and CRM platforms.
- Troubleshoot plugin conflicts, optimize site performance, and ensure the smooth operation of the multisite network.
The Development Environment
This is a full-time remote position (9am-5pm EST). We seek a developer comfortable working independently while maintaining proactive communication.
- Work with hosting environments including Cloudflare, Digital Ocean, and Plesk, requiring knowledge of server configurations, DNS management, and hosting-level troubleshooting.
- Utilize Git for version control, managing staging and production environments for safe deployments.
What You Need to Succeed
- 5+ years of hands-on WordPress development experience.
- Expert-level knowledge of Elementor Pro (custom widgets, dynamic content, templates).
- Extensive experience with the Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) plugin.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL for custom functions and database queries.
- Proven ability to build custom WordPress plugins from scratch.
- Practical experience managing and developing within WordPress multisite networks.
- Experience with Git version control, including branching and merging workflows.
- Experience with Cloudflare, Digital Ocean, Plesk, or similar hosting environments.
- Ability to translate Figma designs into functional WordPress sites.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical team members and writing clear documentation.
