Department Overview

We are seeking a skilled Web Developer to maintain and enhance a diverse portfolio of websites across multiple brands. This role is crucial for driving digital performance, focusing on best-in-class SEO, analytics, and site optimization.

Job Description

The Web Developer will be responsible for the full lifecycle development and maintenance of our digital properties. Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance WordPress and HubSpot sites, including custom themes, modules, plugins, and security updates.
  • Design and build new reusable templates, interactive modules, and component-based page structures to ensure development consistency and scalability.
  • Audit, stabilize, and improve existing sites by implementing fixes, content updates, and tracking integrations to ensure ongoing reliability.
  • Plan and execute complex site migrations and consolidations in collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring SEO preservation, URL mapping, redirects, and tracking parity.
  • Ensure all templates and components meet rigorous standards for responsiveness, accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), performance (Core Web Vitals), and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, design, SEO specialists, and stakeholders to define technical requirements, estimate effort, and deliver site changes aligned with business objectives.
  • Implement, test, and validate analytics, pixels, tags, forms, and event tracking across various platforms.
  • Manage development and production environments, backups, and deployment workflows; document site architecture, dependencies, and technical operating procedures.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years maintaining and building marketing websites/landing pages in a professional environment.
  • Strong front-end fundamentals: HTML5, CSS3/Sass, and JavaScript.
  • WordPress proficiency: Experience with themes/child themes, custom post types, Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), plugin configuration, and basic PHP troubleshooting.
  • HubSpot CMS experience: Proficiency with themes, templates, modules, and page production (HubL experience is a plus).
  • Hands-on experience migrating sites between platforms while successfully preserving SEO, redirects, and tracking integrity.
  • Working knowledge of hosting environments, DNS, SSL, CDNs, and caching. Comfort with staging to production workflows and Git version control.
  • Solid grasp of technical SEO best practices (sitemaps, robots.txt, metadata, schema) and Core Web Vitals optimization.
  • Accessibility mindset and QA discipline across devices/browsers. Clear communication and prioritization skills.

Nice to have

  • HubSpot CMS development expertise with custom modules and HubL.
  • Experience managing complex multi-site website portfolios.
  • CRO/A/B testing and marketing optimization experience: GTM server-side, heatmaps, experiments, consent management.
  • Familiarity with design systems/component libraries and Figma workflows.
  • Exposure to modern stacks or headless CMS (e.g., Next.js, Gatsby, Contentful/Sanity) and CI/CD for CMS hosts (e.g., WP Engine, Kinsta, Pantheon).

Basic Requirements

Bachelors degree with 1+ years maintaining and building marketing websites/landing pages in a professional environment. OR 2+ years maintaining and building marketing websites/landing pages in a professional environment.

Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.

Target Base Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000
