Web Designer & Developer

Elite Dynamics London Limited is seeking a skilled Web Designer & Developer to join their team. This crucial role involves creating visually appealing and high-performing websites. The successful candidate will collaborate with clients and internal teams, leveraging their expertise in web design and development to bring projects to life. We are looking for a creative thinker with strong design and development skills, capable of producing visually appealing and highly functional websites. This position encompasses the entire web design and development process, from conceptualization to execution, with a strong focus on delivering an exceptional user experience.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize and create visually stunning website designs that align with brand aesthetics and user experience goals.
• Develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts.
• Write clean, responsive, and efficient code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to implement designs.
• Implement modern design frameworks and libraries to enhance website functionality.
• Apply UI/UX design principles to improve user interactions and overall user experience.
• Ensure websites are responsive and compatible across various devices, including desktops, tablets, and mobile phones.
• Utilize graphic design tools to create visual elements, including logos, icons, and images.
• Build and maintain server-side components and databases to ensure seamless website operations.
• Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate front-end and back-end functionalities.
• Employ UX/UI best practices to create intuitive and engaging user interfaces.
• Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback for continuous improvement.
• Work with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Joomla) to manage and update website content.
• Customize CMS functionalities to meet specific project requirements.
• Collaborate with graphic designers, content creators, and marketing teams for cohesive branding and messaging.
• Apply user-centred design principles and best practices to create intuitive and engaging user interfaces.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility for all websites.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve code issues.
• Perform usability testing to gather user feedback and implement improvements.
• Integrate e-commerce functionalities into websites, including shopping carts and payment gateways.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including graphic designers, content creators, and marketing teams.
• Implement security best practices to protect websites from vulnerabilities and cyber threats.
• Use version control systems, such as Git, to manage and track code changes.
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
• Monitor website performance and conduct regular testing to identify and address issues.
• Implement optimization techniques for faster page load times and improved user experience.
• Implement on-page SEO best practices to enhance website visibility and search engine rankings.
• Stay informed about SEO trends and implement strategies to improve website performance.
• Work closely with clients to understand requirements, provide updates, and gather feedback.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices through continuous learning.
• Regularly update and maintain websites to ensure security, performance, and functionality, including bug fixes and enhancements.
• Interact with clients to ascertain, train, and implement SEO, PPC, SMO, and other web tools.

Skills & Experience:

• Advanced knowledge of HTML and CSS for structuring and styling web pages.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and familiarity with jQuery for interactive and dynamic web elements.
• Proficiency in PHP, ASP.Net, Python, Java, Ruby, ColdFusion, and Scala.
• Ability to design and develop responsive websites for optimal viewing across various devices.
• Strong UI/UX design skills with an emphasis on creating intuitive and visually appealing interfaces.
• Mastery of graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD).
• Experience with front-end frameworks like Bootstrap or Foundation.
• Competence in back-end technologies like Node.js, PHP, or Python.
• Proficiency in working with databases, including MySQL, MongoDB, or others.
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
• Experience working with CMS platforms, including WordPress and Joomla.
• Understanding of SEO principles and best practices for website optimization.
• Ensuring websites function correctly across different browsers.
• Implementing strategies for faster page load times and improved performance.
• Proficient in testing and debugging to ensure smooth website functionality.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Web Designer and Developer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end technologies (Node.js, PHP, Python, etc.).
• Experience with content management systems and e-commerce platforms.
• Solid understanding of UX/UI design principles and best practices.
• Proficient in using design and development tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Visual Studio Code).
• Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• A portfolio showcasing a diverse range of web design and development projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
