Web Designer & Developer (Remote) - SEO Focused

Prime Nexus London Limited is seeking a skilled Web Designer & Developer to create visually appealing and high-performing websites. This role is pivotal, covering the entire web design and development lifecycle, from initial conceptualization to final execution. We seek a creative thinker proficient in both design and development, dedicated to delivering an exceptional user experience (UX).

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize and create visually stunning website designs aligned with brand aesthetics and user experience goals.
• Develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts.
• Write clean, responsive, and efficient code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Implement modern design frameworks and libraries to enhance website functionality.
• Apply UI/UX design principles to optimize user interactions and overall experience.
• Ensure websites are fully responsive and compatible across various devices (desktops, tablets, mobile phones).
• Utilize graphic design tools to create essential visual elements (logos, icons, images).
• Build and maintain server-side components and databases for seamless website operations.
• Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate front-end and back-end functionalities.
• Work with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Joomla) to manage, update, and customize website content.
• Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback for continuous improvement.
• Ensure cross-browser functionality and conduct thorough testing and debugging to resolve code issues.
• Integrate e-commerce functionalities, including shopping carts and payment gateways.
• Implement on-page SEO best practices to enhance website visibility and search engine rankings.
• Monitor website performance, implement optimization techniques for faster page load times, and ensure regular maintenance (security, bug fixes).
• Use version control systems, such as Git, to manage code changes.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders and clients.

Skills & Experience:

• Advanced proficiency in HTML and CSS for web structuring and styling.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and familiarity with jQuery.
• Competence in back-end languages: PHP, ASP.Net, Python, Java, Ruby, ColdFusion, and Scala.
• Strong UI/UX design skills focused on intuitive and visually appealing interfaces.
• Mastery of graphic design tools, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD).
• Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap or Foundation).
• Proficiency in working with databases (MySQL, MongoDB, or others).
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
• Experience working with CMS platforms (WordPress, Joomla).
• Solid understanding of SEO principles and optimization best practices.
• Proven ability in testing, debugging, and implementing performance strategies (faster page load times).
• Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail in both design and code.

Qualifications & Education:

• Proven experience as a Web Designer and Developer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end technologies (Node.js, PHP, Python, etc.).
• Solid understanding of UX/UI design principles.
• Proficient in using design and development tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Visual Studio Code).
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Web Design, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Compensation & Location:

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Pay Range: £30,000.00 - £35,000.00 per year
