Quick Summary
We are seeking a Tracking Implementation Engineer, a technically proficient operator responsible for ensuring the flawless execution of every funnel, pixel, and experiment across our brands.
You will manage Google Tag Manager (GTM) and pixel deployment, monitor data accuracy across all advertising platforms (Meta, TikTok, Google, Blotout), deploy A/B tests, and maintain lightweight automations designed to detect downtime or errors. You will also support the Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) team with minor PHP or JS changes and Shopify integrations. Note: This role requires no front-end design work.
This position is ideal for a technical marketer or CRO engineer who prioritizes precision, reliability, and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
Tracking & Implementation
- Deploy and maintain tracking pixels across Meta, TikTok, Google, and Blotout platforms.
- Manage GTM containers, event triggers, and data layers effectively.
- QA and validate event firing accuracy across landing pages and checkout flows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies between analytics platforms and ad platforms.
- Automate alerts to detect when critical tracking events cease firing or encounter errors.
Experimentation & CRO
- Implement and QA A/B tests on PHP, HTML, or JavaScript landing pages.
- Validate experiment setup, conversion tracking mechanisms, and split logic.
- Collaborate closely with CRO analysts to ensure clean data collection and rapid test rollouts.
Light Shopify & Integration Work
- Update product and catalog IDs; install and configure necessary applications.
- Manage Shopify metafields.
- Handle basic Liquid or script edits to maintain tracking accuracy.
- Integrate Shopify data flows with analytics and tracking tools.
Monitoring & Reliability
- Create uptime and pixel health checks utilizing scripts or monitoring tools (e.g., UptimeRobot, Pingdom).
- Set up notifications for errors or downtime that impact conversion tracking performance.
- Support performance optimization efforts through caching or Content Delivery Network (CDN) configurations.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of technical experience in marketing, tracking, or Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) roles.
- Hands-on expertise with GTM, GA4, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, and Blotout.
- Working knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with Shopify for ensuring data accuracy and managing app integration.
- Experience with A/B testing platforms (Google Optimize, VWO, or custom frameworks).
- Git/GitHub experience preferred for version control management.
- Strong QA mindset, detail-oriented approach, and proactive communication skills.

- Pixel accuracy rate (% of verified events firing).
- Time required to deploy or fix tracking issues.
- Split test deployment speed and QA pass rate.
- Uptime percentage across funnels.
- Reduction in tracking or attribution errors.
