About the Job
anywAIR specializes in providing a comprehensive suite of managed technology solutions for multifamily and mixed-use developments. Our offerings include managed and bulk WiFi/wired internet services, managed CCTV, managed AV, managed access control, and our proprietary client-facing software. The network infrastructure is central to all our services, necessitating skilled Network Engineers to build and maintain it. This Network Engineer II position is a mid-level role within our team.
Work Environment
This is a fully remote position, with an expectation of occasional travel a few times a year to industry conferences such as NANOG or network autocon, and to our main office located outside of Atlanta.
Working hours are Monday through Friday, 10 AM - 7 PM Eastern Coast Time (equivalent to 8 AM - 5 PM Mountain Time).
We expect team members to be generally available at their computers during work hours, mirroring an in-office setting.
You will collaborate as part of a dedicated team of Tier 2 and Tier 3 Network Engineers.
Responsibilities
- Assist in new site turn-ups and network deployments.
- Implement network automation solutions using Python, Node.js, or PHP, integrating with API endpoints.
- Provide support to Tier 1 for client troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Manage and respond to tickets within our ticketing system.
- Address alerts promptly from our monitoring systems.
After an initial warm-up period of a few months, you will participate in our on-call rotation, which averages one week every eight weeks.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with CLI switch configuration, utilizing platforms such as Cisco or Juniper.
- 2+ years of experience with controller-based WiFi systems, including Mist, Ruckus, Cisco, or Cambium.
- 1+ years of experience in software development or network automation, including proficiency with Git-based systems.
- Must be a fluent English speaker.
- Must have prior authorization to work in the United States.
- Working knowledge of OSPF.
- Working knowledge of IPv6.
Nice to Have
- Mikrotik router experience.
- Any Cisco certifications.
Interview Process
- 1-2 initial calls conducted via MS Teams.
- A final round in-person interview at our office in the Atlanta Metro area, with company-covered travel.
