About You:
We are seeking a Technical Support Operator to be the front line for exceptional customer experience at our 24/7/365 help desk. Ideally, you have experienced poor web hosting customer service and are committed to preventing it. You will ensure excellent customer service by consistently exceeding customer expectations.
We need a customer-focused individual, adept under pressure, with superior analytical skills to tackle problems. If you can efficiently multitask and are highly skilled with web hosting applications and platforms, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
Hiring for day shift employees CST.
- Provide customer support via our 24/7 helpdesk.
- Troubleshoot email delivery issues.
- Troubleshoot cPanel, Plesk, and DirectAdmin related issues.
- Troubleshoot DNS, FTP, SSL, Apache, and other service-related issues.
- Ensure customer satisfaction.
Required Skills & Attributes:
- Must be customer-focused and dedicated to resolving customer issues, consistently going above and beyond.
- Excellent written English skills. Technical Support Operators primarily provide email support, with occasional live chat and phone support.
- Familiarity with Linux shell (bash), Apache, PHP, MySQL, email (POP3/IMAP/SMTP), FTP, DNS, and other standard web hosting applications and protocols.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and deliver results.
- Strong multi-tasking abilities are essential across multiple brands.
- Capable of eliciting complete error messages or deriving problem context from insufficient customer information.
- Working knowledge of one of the following control panels: cPanel/WHM, Plesk, or DirectAdmin is required.
- Working knowledge of Iptables firewalls (CSF, APF, etc.).
- Familiarity with common customer website applications like Drupal, WordPress, MediaWiki, Magento, ZenCart, etc.
- Proficiency with MySQL commands for support and troubleshooting, including importing/dumping databases, simple SELECT statements, or "SHOW PROCESSLIST".
Bonus Skills:
- Knowledge of PHP, Python, Perl, and Ruby on Rails.
