Your Role at Dynatrace
As a Dynatrace Solution Engineer, you will be a key member of the Dynatrace sales engine, providing excellent technical support to the sales team. You will serve as the expert on Dynatrace and all facets of Advanced Observability. This exciting role involves executing compelling demos that showcase Dynatrace's unique approach to solving customer pain points, managing onsite and remote Proofs of Concept (POCs), building strong customer relationships, and completing RFIs & RFPs. You will also collaborate across teams, including Dynatrace’s innovation labs, Expert Services consultants, CSMs, and marketing.
About You
To succeed as a Solution Engineer at Dynatrace, you should be an ambitious, confident, and self-motivated individual with prior SE experience or a technical customer-facing role. Passion for innovative technology, technical sales, and articulating value to customers and prospects is essential. We are also seeking:
- An excellent team player, capable of cross-disciplinary collaboration.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical value into business value.
- 3–5 years of experience with observability or application performance management technologies and techniques.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues to achieve working outcomes and manage the process effectively.
- Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work with various sales professionals, and support other Solution Engineers as needed.
- A strong desire for professional growth, adaptability to evolving environments, and coachability.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Evangelize Dynatrace’s product offerings at international trade shows and key customer account meetings to drive new and expanded business.
- Partner with sales representatives to identify new sales opportunities and incremental sales within existing accounts.
- Participate in Proof of Concept (PoC) creation and cloud architecture discussions, leading the technical solution evaluation for sales opportunities, either directly or through channel partners.
- Present Dynatrace’s vision to C-suite executives.
- Provide technical guidance during the Discovery, Solution Evaluation, and Solution Proposal stages of the sales cycle.
- Deliver on-stage demonstrations at key marketing events, including Dynatrace-sponsored industry events or partner events, ensuring effective demonstrations at booths.
- Gather, qualify, and provide customer feedback to Product Management to enhance Dynatrace’s market share and meet market needs.
- Collaborate with internal sales teams and partners, supporting their teams and serving as a technical point of contact (trusted advisor/technical coach).
- Position may be filled at a higher level based on candidate experience.
What Will Help You Succeed
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent education or experience.
- 3 years of experience within the observability space.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with programming / scripting technologies like Java, .NET, PHP, Go, Node.js, and database systems.
- Advanced knowledge of Operating Systems (OS), including Windows and Linux.
- Experience with DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering practices.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with modern technologies such as containers, Kubernetes / OpenShift, Serverless functions, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, Terraform.

Compensation and Rewards
The base salary range for this role is $128,000 - $160,000. Salary determination considers your experience, skills, education, and work location.
