Quick Summary

Checkmarx is offering a Solutions Engineer Intern position for Computer Science majors graduating Winter 2026 or Spring 2027, focused on leveraging Claude to integrate AI tools and accelerate the sales cycle. This remote role, open to US Citizens residing in the Dallas, Texas area with occasional in-person collaboration, requires hands-on experience with at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript, C#, Java, or PHP), familiarity with REST APIs/JSON, exposure to LLM APIs, and comfort with Git/GitHub. Interns will build a Claude-powered integration layer, prompt library, and automated workflows for sales, gaining experience in prompt engineering, API integration, and agentic AI design patterns.

Checkmarx leads in agentic application security, providing enterprise-grade protection to reduce engineering costs and boost development velocity. The Checkmarx One platform scans trillions of lines of code annually, helping organizations decrease vulnerability density by over 50%. Autonomous security agents continuously detect and mitigate AI-driven threats throughout the software development lifecycle, offering prevention-first protection for legacy, modern, and AI-generated code at enterprise scale.

About the Opportunity

During the 2026 summer internship, you will transform customer conversations into a sales advantage using Claude as the central integration tool. We seek two driven university students—one with a Computer Science background and one from MIS or Business—to collaborate on an AI-assisted workflow designed to accelerate the sales cycle. You will leverage Claude to integrate and orchestrate existing AI tools, extracting insights from Clari Copilot call recordings, enhancing demos, refining Proof of Value criteria, and generating closeout presentations with real customer data. Our sales team currently possesses valuable customer insights without a standardized method to utilize them effectively. Demos are often generic, Proof of Value tracking is manual, and AI projects are siloed. Your role will be to integrate these components using Claude into a cohesive, intelligent workflow, leading to faster deal cycles and fewer meetings.

What You'll Build

By the end of the summer, you will contribute to measurably shortening the sales cycle and reducing the number of meetings required to close deals by delivering:

  • A Claude-powered integration layer connecting Clari Copilot, CRM data, and other AI tools into a unified, repeatable sales workflow.
  • A prompt library and orchestration framework utilizing Claude to extract demo-relevant insights from call transcripts and direct them to appropriate sales cycle stages.
  • Standardized Proof of Value success criteria, derived from customer conversations and automatically surfaced by Claude during active deals.
  • An AI-automated Proof of Value status update workflow, fed by Clari Copilot outputs and synthesized by Claude for sales representatives.
  • A template-driven closeout deck, automatically populated with real engagement data via Claude API integrations.
  • All project artifacts, prompts, templates, and documentation version-controlled in GitHub.
  • Handoff documentation to enable the sales team to sustain and extend the process post-internship.

What You'll Learn

  • How to utilize Claude as an AI orchestration layer for connecting disparate tools and automating multi-step workflows.
  • Insights into enterprise sales cycles and the strategic application of AI for maximum leverage.
  • Hands-on experience with prompt engineering, API integration, and agentic AI design patterns.
  • Skills in problem-solving, solution scoping, and delivering impactful results from ambiguous challenges.
  • Strong mentorship from experienced Sales, Marketing, and Engineering leaders.
