The Solutions Engineer, Alliances, Auth0 Opportunity
Okta believes in the power of partnerships to drive Identity mainstream. As an Alliance Solutions Engineer with a CIAM focus, you will work closely with Regional Alliance Managers, Sales Representatives, Marketing, and Partner Enablement to grow Okta business through the Channel. You will build strong relationships with key Partners, Global System Integrators, Distributors, and Technology Vendors across the Americas, with a specialized focus on Auth0.
You will become a trusted advisor for CIAM/Auth0, helping partners integrate Auth0 into their Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies, evangelizing partner solutions within Okta field teams, and leading partners in building Okta practices that deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
What you’ll be doing
- Build and manage technical relationships with assigned Partners, collaborating with Okta Partner Account Teams.
- Drive incremental revenue through increased CIAM (Auth0) solution sales with Strategic Partners and their GTM strategies.
- Develop domain expertise and thought leadership in partner focus areas and expansion opportunities.
- Gather and translate partner feedback to influence the Auth0 product roadmap.
- Deliver technical training sessions for Partners on Auth0 features, best practices, and competitive differentiators.
- Respond to technical questions and Requests for Information from Partners.
- Maintain technical expertise on current and developing Okta products and technology.
- Provide guidance and assistance during the Partner sales process.
- Travel up to 45% to support Partner, Okta, and industry events.
How you’ll be measured
- Direct and influenced revenue growth.
- Partner-developed and driven CIAM-focused GTM Solution Offerings (Auth0).
- Partner enablement and resource certification growth.
What you’ll bring to the role
- 5+ years of pre-sales engineering experience.
- Understanding of the CIAM / IDaaS competitive landscape.
- Strong passion for Partners and knowledge of Channel business models.
- Strong technical presentation and communication skills.
- Passion for serving partners as customers and ensuring their success.
- Experience with at least one standard network security protocol (OAuth, OAuth2, SAML, LDAP, OIDC).
- Knowledge in web (Javascript, HTML, frontend frameworks), mobile (iOS, Android), backend (Java, C#, Node.js, Python, PHP, Ruby) development, or IP-based real-time communications.
- Hands-on experience in cloud computing environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Confidence in dispensing knowledge to experienced audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or a comparable field is preferred.
On Target Compensation (OTE) Range (California, Colorado, Illinois, New York, Washington): $152,000—$228,000 USD annually
