Responsibilities

The Contractor will manage and execute technical activities for designing, developing, integrating, testing, and fielding applications and cloud computing resources. This ensures alignment with USCG TDL Owner's deployment timelines and goals. Key activities include:

  • Develop and maintain Application Program Interfaces (APIs) required for USCG information systems to retrieve data from CG-OWL.
  • Customize CG-OWL User Interfaces for USCG specific use.
  • Gather and assess CG-OWL user feedback, then present to the Effort POC for collaborative feature prioritization on the Product Roadmap / Backlog.
  • Conduct Operational and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Report monthly performance metrics to USCG, including planned/unplanned downtimes, actions taken to address downtime, and future mitigating factors.
  • Address all defects found in the MLMS system, or notify third parties (e.g., Moodle, Learning Locker, Rustici, Cloud One) of any identified defects.
  • Update existing System/Application Administrator process guides from the USAF and USCG necessary for CG-OWL maintenance.
  • Identify gaps in System/Application Administrator process guides required for CG-OWL maintenance.
  • Assist Training Course owners with uploading course material.
  • Coordinate with Tier 1 and Tier 2 help desk personnel to understand end-user friction points.
  • Provide Tier 3 assistance for issues escalated through the service desk process and critical problems, involving code-level investigation.
  • Keep process guides updated for System Administrators in accordance with the latest process or software release.
  • Report defects in a central USCG SharePoint system, including all available information and contact details of the defect reporter.
  • Utilize the primary USCG ticketing system, currently CGFixIT (BMC Remedy), to properly document and respond to all incidents, problems, service requests, and maintenance in accordance with applicable USCG process guides, policies, and procedures.

Required Experience/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • At least five years' relevant experience.
  • Possess IAT Level II certification.
  • Knowledge of AWS, Linux, Python, PHP, and MongoDB.

Special Requirements/Security Clearance

  • Active Secret clearance.
