The Opportunity: Software Architect Role
This is a 100% remote position. As a Software Architect, your core mandate is to rapidly transform product concepts into revenue-driving, production-ready software at scale. You will be instrumental in designing and evolving the architecture of our core products, ensuring systems support rapid launches, customer growth, and ongoing monetization without hindering business velocity.
This role requires a hands-on approach to coding while simultaneously defining robust architectural patterns that maximize time-to-market, reliability, and code reuse across engineering teams. Strong product judgment is essential, focusing on technical decisions that directly impact customer experience, pricing flexibility, scalability, and operational efficiency.
A critical focus area is leveraging agentic development tools to significantly increase engineering output. You will operationalize AI-assisted workflows, internal agents, and automation frameworks to shorten development cycles, minimize rework, and accelerate iteration based on real customer feedback. You will collaborate closely with Product and Engineering leadership to align architectural strategy with go-to-market priorities and efficient business scaling.
Key Responsibilities: System Architecture & Agentic Development Leadership
- Own and evolve the system architecture across backend services, APIs, and data layers.
- Design scalable, maintainable solutions, strategically utilizing PHP, Python, and Go, selecting the optimal technology for each requirement.
- Establish architectural patterns, coding standards, and best practices organization-wide.
- Lead the adoption of agentic development workflows, including AI-assisted coding, autonomous agents, and internal tooling, to accelerate delivery timelines.
- Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to translate complex business requirements into precise technical designs.
- Guide development teams on critical tradeoffs concerning performance, reliability, security, and scalability.
- Review critical code paths and designs, maintaining a hands-on involvement with implementation where necessary.
- Mentor senior engineers and function as a technical force multiplier across the organization.
- Take on additional responsibilities and projects as needed to ensure team and organizational success.
Required Skills & Experience for Success
- 8+ years of professional software development experience, including significant time spent in an architectural or senior technical leadership capacity.
- Deep, proven experience building high-performance production systems using PHP, Python, and Go.
- Expertise in designing distributed systems, APIs, and service-oriented architectures.
- Hands-on experience implementing and utilizing agentic development tools, such as:
- AI-assisted IDEs (e.g., Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code).
- LLM-driven workflows, internal agents, or automation frameworks.
- Applying AI to enhance code quality, testing, refactoring, or system design.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively balance development speed with technical rigor in a fast-moving, product-focused environment.
