About Kinnovis
We are a software company based in Vienna with a presence in 19 countries. Our platform helps self-storage operators automate and digitize their centers: from managing daily operations to automating door openings.

Your Mission
You will take charge of the entire technical side of Kinnovis Access, our access control system for self-storage centers. It is a position straddling software and hardware: one day you program an integration with the platform, the next you configure a Raspberry in the workshop, and the next you remotely solve why a keypad is not opening a door at a center 400 km away.
You will work side-by-side with the current technical team, with autonomy to lead the system from start to finish.
What You Will Do
Software Development
- Maintain and evolve Kinnovis Access software (React, Node, PHP, Python).
- Build and consume APIs and integrations with our management platform (Kinnovis Manager).
- Write clean and maintainable code that others can work on without fear.
Hardware and Devices
- Pre-configure kits in the workshop before they go out for installation: Raspberry Pi, keypads, and PLCs in full installations.
- Verify each kit with a checklist before sending it out.
Networks and Communications
- Configure and diagnose device connectivity (VPN, routers, PoE) within client networks.
- Remotely access and diagnose installed equipment when an incident arises.
Installations and Incidents
- Resolve access system incidents: identify whether it is software, network, or hardware, and solve it.
Continuous Improvement and AI
- Use AI in your day-to-day to move faster (code, diagnosis, documentation).
- Help build internal tools: for example, an assistant to guide installers during assembly.
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 4 years of experience in software development (full-stack or similar).
- Proficiency in React, Node, and Python; PHP is valued.
- Knowledge of networks and communications (TCP/IP, VPN, routers) and a desire to get into hardware.
- A decisive person who enjoys troubleshooting and does not get overwhelmed when something fails in production.
- Spanish and English: we work with clients in Spanish and with the international team in English on a daily basis.
We Also Value
- Experience with Raspberry Pi / embedded Linux, GPIO, relays, and serial communications (RS-485, Modbus, Wiegand).
- Notions of low-voltage electricity, sufficient to communicate effectively with an electrician.
- Knowledge of applied AI and the habit of working with LLMs: valued very positively.
- Experience in access control, home automation, or IoT.
- Knowledge of the self-storage sector.
