Responsibilities
- Develop and customize Shopify themes to create visually appealing and user-friendly online stores.
- Integrate third-party apps and APIs to enhance website functionality and streamline operations.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and web design mockups into responsive, high-performance websites.
- Implement best practices for SEO, web performance optimization, and accessibility standards to maximize visibility and engagement.
- Maintain and update existing Shopify sites, troubleshoot issues, and perform regular security audits.
- Utilize front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SCSS, and TypeScript to build engaging interfaces.
- Automate deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions, ensuring smooth updates and releases.
Experience
- Proven experience developing e-commerce websites on the Shopify platform with a strong portfolio of live projects.
- Solid understanding of web development languages including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular or React.
- Familiarity with backend technologies such as PHP, Python, or Ruby on Rails for custom app development or integrations.
- Experience working with databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Microsoft SQL Server for data management tasks.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices using Docker, Ansible, AWS cloud services, and system architecture principles for scalable deployment.
- Hands-on experience with version control systems like GitHub or SVN and project management tools such as Trello or Jira.
- Understanding of web services including RESTful APIs, SOAP protocols, GraphQL, and integration techniques for seamless data exchange.
