About the Role: Senior/Lead Full-Stack Engineer, Financial Intelligence Platform
We are seeking a Senior/Lead Full-Stack Engineer to build a cutting-edge financial intelligence platform optimized for AI consumption. This full-time, remote role begins with a focused 6-month project, emphasizing strong autonomy and rapid execution within a product-driven environment.
The successful candidate will act as a hands-on utility player, mastering frontend, backend, integrations, and light architecture to deliver a cohesive, customer-ready system. Successful project delivery offers the opportunity to transition to other impactful projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the implementation and integration of existing product components, including AI usage dashboards and advisor insights.
- Design and build robust backend functionality supporting billing rules, chargeback logic, and ROI calculation for AI usage.
- Integrate external billing data sources, starting with Microsoft Azure billing systems.
- Build and evolve APIs and data pipelines to translate raw billing data into actionable financial insights.
- Implement frontend functionality to clearly surface metrics, dashboards, and data-heavy UI views.
- Make sound architectural decisions of medium complexity, prioritizing maintainability and speed.
- Collaborate closely with product stakeholders, maintaining minimal process overhead.
- Ensure smooth deployment and delivery workflows utilizing Vercel.
- Contribute to overall product cohesion by unifying disparate parts into a single, usable experience.
- Work full-time on a 6-month project, with opportunities for continuation on subsequent projects.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of experience and a strong full-stack background with proven ability to navigate frontend, backend, and integrations.
- Solid experience utilizing Python and Node.js in production environments.
- Experience designing and working with PostgreSQL schemas and data models.
- Direct experience integrating Azure billing systems or similar cloud cost and usage APIs.
- Experience building frontend applications deployed via Vercel (React or similar frameworks).
- Strong experience consuming and integrating third-party APIs, particularly billing or usage-based systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work with incomplete requirements and translate them into working solutions.
- Comfortable operating in early-stage product environments with limited structure.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
- Experience integrating frontend tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar).
- Familiarity with observability and usage tracking concepts (e.g., OpenTelemetry or similar telemetry systems).
- Experience building or consuming SDKs.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Haves)
- Experience with PHP.
- Experience building financial, billing, or cost-allocation systems.
- Familiarity with AI usage metrics, token-based billing, or ROI tracking models.
- Experience working on dashboards, tables, filters, and data-dense UI patterns.
- Prior startup or founder-led product experience.
- Exposure to AI tooling workflows (e.g., internal usage of Claude or similar tools).
