About Your New Role: Senior Software Engineer, AI-Assisted Development
We seek a Senior Software Engineer passionate about end-to-end product development, leveraging AI-assisted tools (such as Cursor, Copilot, or Claude) as a core part of the workflow. This is a product engineering role focused on rapid shipping, user feedback integration, and continuous production improvement—not a research position.
You will collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to translate concepts into features, own significant product components, and establish how AI enhances engineering velocity. This role is ideal for those who thrive in early-stage environments, manage ambiguity well, and prioritize customer impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and deploy customer-facing product features from initial concept through to production.
- Utilize Cursor or comparable AI coding tools daily to accelerate development, refactoring, testing, and iteration cycles.
- Design and implement AI-powered workflows, automations, and product features, including Large Language Model (LLM) integrations.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Leadership to define technical direction and requirements.
- Take ownership of production features and systems, ensuring reliability, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Make pragmatic architectural decisions that effectively balance development speed, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
- Contribute to defining engineering best practices for an AI-first development culture.
- Mentor team members and elevate the standard for product-focused engineering excellence.
Must-Have Technical Expertise
- 3+ years of experience developing and deploying production software.
- Strong proficiency with modern languages and frameworks, including Python, Go, and ecosystem languages like PHP and React.
- Hands-on experience utilizing AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or equivalents).
- Demonstrated ability to build complete, real products, rather than isolated services or prototypes.
- Experience integrating AI/ML or LLM-based capabilities into user-facing applications.
- Strong product instincts, focusing on user value, outcomes, and necessary tradeoffs.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving startup environment with frequently evolving priorities.
