About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our Hospitality Fulfillment team at SpotOn. This critical role focuses on optimizing how customer orders are processed and prepared, ensuring seamless restaurant operations. You will develop features for our Express POS, working across various backend services and microfrontends.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Extreme Ownership: You are accountable for feature outcomes, seeing fixes through regardless of where issues arise in the stack.
- Navigation of Real Complexity: You excel at untangling intricate systems and solving high-stakes challenges with creative thinking and persistence.
- "Whatever It Takes" Engineering: You are adaptable, ready to learn new technologies, and resolve issues across the stack, from frontend to infrastructure.
- AI as a Teammate: You leverage AI tools daily to accelerate development, solve complex problems, and maintain high code quality.
- Team Leadership: You provide technical guidance, ensuring sound decisions and proactive management of technical debt.
What skills are we searching for?
- Real-world Experience: 5 to 7 years of experience building software for high-traffic, production environments.
- Backend Mastery: High proficiency in Golang, with ideal experience in JS/TS.
- AI Fluency: Proven ability to integrate AI into your workflow for improved code quality and debugging.
- Solid Fundamentals: Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns for scalable solutions.
- Strong Communication: Proficient English language skills (minimum B2).
Perfect candidate also has:
- The "Figure it Out" Gene: Enjoys solving problems without immediate, clear answers.
- Full-stack Flexibility: Willingness to work with PHP or other technologies as needed to complete projects.
- Cloud and Infra Comfort: Experience with AWS, Terraform, or Kubernetes, understanding how code operates in cloud environments.

Compensation
Our base pay range for this role is $123,000-175,000/year. This salary range is one component of a competitive compensation package that includes a company stock plan. Offers will reflect the candidate’s location and experience.
