We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic technology team. Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and execute detailed test cases and test plans based on business requirements and technical specifications.
- Design and implement automated testing frameworks utilizing tools such as TestNG, Selenium, JUnit, Cucumber, and scripting languages like Python or JavaScript to streamline testing processes.
- Conduct functional, system, regression, performance (using LoadRunner or similar tools), load testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to verify software functionality across web, mobile (Android and iOS), and API platforms.
- Perform root cause analysis on defects identified during testing phases and collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Maintain and enhance test automation scripts within CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or TFS to ensure continuous quality integration.
- Validate RESTful APIs and SOAP web services for data integrity and performance using tools like Postman or SOAPUI; analyze database interactions with MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server (Microsoft SQL Server), PL/SQL, JDBC, and MongoDB.
- Support release management activities by ensuring thorough testing coverage before deployment; participate in requirements gathering, system analysis, and Agile/Scrum development cycles.
Skills
- Extensive experience with software testing tools such as Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber (BDD), HP ALM, and LoadRunner.
- Proficiency in scripting languages including Java, Python, JavaScript, Bash (Unix shell), C#, and PHP for automation purposes.
- Strong understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), Agile methodologies, Waterfall processes, and DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of mobile testing frameworks for Android and iOS applications; familiarity with mobile applications testing strategies.
- Expertise in API testing using RESTful APIs with tools like Postman or SoapUI; experience with JSON and XML data formats.
- Ability to perform performance testing to evaluate system stability under load; experience with tools such as LoadRunner or JMeter.
- Data analysis skills utilizing SQL queries across multiple databases including MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle DB2; ability to interpret large datasets for quality insights.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis; excellent debugging skills across various operating systems including Windows and Linux.
- Familiarity with version control systems like GitHub, GitLab, SVN; experience integrating tests into CI/CD workflows via Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with developers, business analysts, product owners and stakeholders; ability to translate technical issues into clear reports.
