Workana is seeking a Senior PHP / Laravel Developer for a client specializing in e-commerce business optimization, with a focus on Cross-Border and Dropshipping. This client manages over 6 million active listings across major marketplaces like MercadoLibre and Amazon in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and the United States.
Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Developer to maintain, optimize, and evolve the technological stack supporting the client's regional operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop internal applications using PHP and Laravel.
- Design and implement integrations with MercadoLibre APIs and other marketplaces.
- Develop functionalities for mass management of listings, prices, stock, and business rules.
- Implement automations for suppliers, logistics, and e-commerce operations.
- Manage and optimize MySQL/MariaDB databases.
- Administer and maintain infrastructure on Linux servers (Linode).
- Participate in defining and implementing new technological solutions for operational scalability.
- Utilize AI tools, specifically Claude Code, as a central part of the development process.
Technical Requirements (Mandatory)
- At least 5 years of experience as a PHP Developer.
- Proven experience developing integrations with MercadoLibre API.
- Proficiency in Laravel (versions 5 and 12) for both backend and frontend.
- Advanced experience with PHP 8.4.
- Experience with JavaScript and jQuery.
- Experience working with MySQL and MariaDB.
- Experience with Docker.
- Knowledge of Apache installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of server and database management.
- Previous experience in project management.
- Intensive use of AI-assisted development tools, especially Claude Code for daily workflow.
Desirable Requirements
- Fluent English for communication and technical documentation.
- Experience with Python and FastAPI development.
- Experience in high-volume e-commerce platforms.
- Knowledge of integrations with Amazon Marketplace and other regional marketplaces.
- Experience working in Cross-Border Commerce and Dropshipping environments.
- Knowledge of system architecture focused on scalability and massive data processing.
