This project involves a unified platform designed to consolidate vulnerability, threat, and asset data. It enables organizations to effectively prioritize and remediate critical exposures by integrating information from over 150 security tools. The platform serves as a centralized hub for risk-based vulnerability management, automating workflows, and enhancing security outcomes. It is engineered to scale and streamline vulnerability and exposure management programs, ensuring efficient threat mitigation.
Role Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will operate at the frontier of innovation, translating early ideas and high-level product vision into real, impactful software. You will collaborate closely with product and security experts to design and build new features, services, and tools that advance vulnerability management capabilities.
This role offers a balanced blend of development, dedicating approximately 50% of your time to architecting scalable backend systems and 50% to crafting dynamic, user-focused frontend experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with founders and the R&D team to develop new, experimental technologies.
- Lead the migration of the existing Python/Django application into the core Product’s PHP codebase, followed by ongoing support for the PHP version.
- Collaborate with cross-functional, global teams utilizing diverse technology stacks.
- Build scalable backend systems using PHP and MySQL or SingleStore.
- Develop dynamic and responsive user interfaces with TypeScript, React, and Tailwind.
- Investigate and incorporate emerging trends in cybersecurity into product ideas.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Participate actively in architectural discussions and code reviews.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proven ability to thrive with minimal direction, particularly in ambiguous or R&D-heavy environments.
- Strong backend development experience with PHP.
- Solid front-end development experience with TypeScript + React 19.
- Experience with Python (at least at a basic level).
- Experience with relational databases, especially MySQL.
- Experience with Docker and containerization.
- Experience working in cloud environments, ideally AWS.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies in a professional setting.
- Creative thinker who enjoys solving hard problems and experimenting with novel solutions.
Highly Desirable Qualifications (Will Be a Plus)
- Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with big data analytical systems (e.g., Big Query, Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks, SingleStore).
- Experience working with vulnerability scanning technologies (e.g., SCA, SAST, DAST, IAST, VM Scanning, Container scanning).
- Experience maintaining applications on Linux platforms in cloud environments.
- Demonstrated interest or background in cybersecurity, including experience in vulnerability management, threat intelligence, or related domains.
