Senior Java Developer (React.js) - 100% Remote Contract

ARC Group has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Java Developer. This position is 100% remote and is starting as a contract running through July 2026, with strong potential for extension or conversion to a Full-Time Employee (FTE) role. Job Description: Senior IT Developer Responsibilities

Senior Java Developers are responsible for the full lifecycle development, programming, and coding of Information Technology solutions. Key duties include:

• Documenting detailed system specifications.
• Participating in unit testing and maintenance of planned and unplanned internally developed applications.
• Evaluating and conducting performance testing of purchased products.
• Implementing IT Controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of applications and processed data.
• Leading development efforts, overseeing work results, providing training, and serving as a technical resource for other Developers.

Required Work Experience & Skills

• 5+ years of related work experience, including professional experience with technical design and coding in the IT industry.
• Senior level on-the-job experience with Java and React.js.
• Mandatory experience with React, Java, and Springboot.
• Experience with unit testing, release procedures, coding design, documentation protocol, and change management procedures.
• Proficiency using versioning tools such as GIT, GNU, RCS, SCCS, CVS, SVN, Mercurial, Monotone, etc.
• In-depth understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Proficiency programming in more than one object-oriented programming language (e.g., JAVA, JavaScript, Python, C#, C++, PHP).
• Experience with HTML and modern JavaScript Frameworks, including React.Js, Node.JS, and EXPRESS.
• Experience with SOAP and REST web service development.
• Proficiency using debugging tools (e.g., Advanced Debugber, Allinea DDT, AQtime, ARM, CA/EZTEST).
• High critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions consistent with business objectives and strategy.
• Ability to manipulate data from various sources/formats (flat files, relational databases, non-relational databases, XML, JSON, etc.).

Required Education

• Related Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with power builder, tuxedo, or C++.
• Experience in various domains (e.g., Health Care, Financial).
• Experience using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
• Database knowledge in SQL, MySQL, Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, etc. (May be required depending on project).
• Potential exposure to big data languages/tools such as Hadoop, Storm, Spark, Kafka, Hive, NFI, Scoop, etc.
