Web Developer - Flight Data Analysis

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and write code to develop web services.
• Build applications using cutting-edge technologies.
• Improve the quality of existing UI and develop new user-facing features.
• Drive UI innovation through new data visualizations.
• Implement horizontally scaled web interfaces to support thousands of concurrent pilots and millions of flights.
• Contribute to expanding and scaling PHP/MySQL applications.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of development experience in PHP or equivalent (e.g., Javascript, Python, Ruby).
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, jQuery, and Ajax.
• Strong Javascript and HTML5 skills.
• Experience with SQL databases, including SQL statement optimization for UI calls and minimizing backend load.
• Experience building large-scale backend systems and handling very large datasets.
• Experience building web-based interfaces for desktop and mobile.
• Experience implementing API interfaces.
• Knowledge of caching and load distribution techniques (a plus).
• Ability to visualize data creatively and intuitively.
