Web Developer - Flight Data Analytics

What You'll Do:

• Design and write code to develop web services.
• Build applications using cutting-edge technologies.
• Improve the quality of existing UI and develop new user-facing features.
• Drive UI innovation through new data visualizations.
• Implement horizontally scaled web interfaces to support thousands of concurrent pilots and millions of flights.
• Contribute to expanding and scaling PHP/MySQL applications.

What We're Looking For:

• Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in a small team.
• Basic understanding of drones.
• Ability to thrive in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Must reside in California.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 5+ years of development experience in PHP or equivalent (JavaScript, Python, Ruby).
• Fluent in HTML, CSS, jQuery, and Ajax.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and HTML5.
• Experience with SQL-based database systems, including SQL statement optimization for UI calls and minimizing backend load.
• Experience building large-scale backend systems and handling very large datasets.
• Experience building web-based interfaces for both desktop and mobile.
• Experience implementing API interfaces.
• Knowledge of caching and load distribution techniques (a plus).
• Ability to visualize data in creative and intuitive ways.

Standout Qualifications:

• A passion for flying drones.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (e.g., Akamai, AWS).
• Motivation to learn new skills, programming languages, and technologies.
• Experience working with various big data technologies.
