Web Developer - Flight Data Analytics

What You'll Do:
- Design and write code to develop web services.
- Build applications using cutting-edge technologies.
- Improve the quality of existing UI and develop new user-facing features.
- Drive UI innovation through new data visualizations.
- Implement horizontally scaled web interfaces to support thousands of concurrent pilots and millions of flights.
- Contribute to expanding and scaling PHP/MySQL applications.
What We're Looking For:
- Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in a small team.
- Basic understanding of drones.
- Ability to thrive in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Must reside in California.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 5+ years of development experience in PHP or equivalent (JavaScript, Python, Ruby).
- Fluent in HTML, CSS, jQuery, and Ajax.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and HTML5.
- Experience with SQL-based database systems, including SQL statement optimization for UI calls and minimizing backend load.
- Experience building large-scale backend systems and handling very large datasets.
- Experience building web-based interfaces for both desktop and mobile.
- Experience implementing API interfaces.
- Knowledge of caching and load distribution techniques (a plus).
- Ability to visualize data in creative and intuitive ways.
Standout Qualifications:
- A passion for flying drones.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (e.g., Akamai, AWS).
- Motivation to learn new skills, programming languages, and technologies.
- Experience working with various big data technologies.

Pay: From $150,000.00 per year
