Senior Full Stack Software Engineer: Health-First Scalable Solutions
Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first. We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer responsible for producing highly scalable software solutions. This role requires a holistic approach to software development, balancing user experience (UX) and functionality across various technologies and languages, including Java, JavaScript, HTML, PHP, and C#.
The Senior Full Stack Engineer manages moderately complex to complex technical issues, requiring in-depth data evaluation. You will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, from front-end and back-end development to database integrations, network/hosting management, UI/UX, and server management. This position influences departmental strategy and exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives and approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Agile teams specializing in frontend technologies, distributed microservices, and full stack systems.
- Design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions using full-stack development tools and technologies.
- Utilize cloud native stacks, building solutions on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, and leveraging technologies like Kubernetes.
- Develop effective REST APIs and comprehensive technical documentation.
- Write automated test cases to ensure software correctness, responsiveness, and efficiency.
- Provide expert technical direction during the discovery, planning, and implementation stages of projects and initiatives.
- Maintain modern development standards, best-practice approaches, and robust development processes.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and relevant IT experience.
- 4+ years of experience in Python programming.
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in at least one modern JavaScript framework: Angular, React, or Vue.js.
- 2+ years of experience in back-end development using Java or Node.js.
- At least 1 year of experience with a major cloud service: Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- At least 1 year of experience building micro frontends and/or micro services.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree.
- Advanced experience in Microsoft Azure.
- Experience building Domain Driven Microservices.
- Advanced experience building software with Cloud native technologies.
- Expertise in SASS, W3C Web Standards, Web performance, and Cross-browser compatibility.
- Advanced understanding of web modular design patterns.
- Advanced experience and best practices in Content Management.
Work-At-Home Requirements
This is a remote position, though occasional travel to offices for training or meetings may be required.
- Recommended self-provided internet service: minimum 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speed (wired cable or DSL suggested). Satellite, cellular, and microwave connections require leadership approval.
- Associates working from Home in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will receive a bi-weekly payment for internet expenses.
- Telephone equipment appropriate for business requirements will be provided.
- Must work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
Compensation and Benefits
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
The estimated starting base pay range for this full-time position is $106,900 - $147,000 per year. This role is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
