Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer specializing in modernizing legacy applications and transitioning traditional development workflows into a fully automated Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) model. The ideal candidate must have expertise in on-premises infrastructure automation and implementing DevOps best practices to streamline deployment pipelines and enhance software delivery efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, testing, and deployment processes.
• Migrate and modernize legacy PHP codebases, focusing on improving automation and reducing technical debt.
• Collaborate with development teams to drive the adoption of DevOps methodologies, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Implement containerization and orchestration solutions using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Automate monitoring, logging, and security compliance for on-premise infrastructure environments.
• Troubleshoot build and deployment issues and enhance overall system reliability.
• Establish best practices for configuration management, version control, and release management.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, software engineering, or system administration, specifically working with Linux on-prem systems/DevOps environments.
• Expertise in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
• Strong hands-on experience transforming legacy code into modern DevOps workflows.
• Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Experience with Ansible, or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash, PHP, and Python for automation tasks.
• Familiarity with security best practices for DevOps, including secret management and compliance standards such as ISO, PCI, and SOC2.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Expert knowledge of PHP testing frameworks (e.g., PHP Unit).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience migrating monolithic applications to microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with database automation (MySQL).
• Experience working with regulatory compliance standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, ISO, SOC2).
