Corporate Tools is seeking a Senior Data Center Linux Engineer. This is a full-time, remote position, with an annual salary up to $150,000. As a Senior Data Center Linux Engineer, you will contribute to the overall design, deployment, and feature roadmap for our network and systems architecture. You will collaborate with other engineers to establish performance and service standards, and develop capacity planning models.
Wage
Up to $150,000

Responsibilities
- Manage, configure, and maintain Linux servers
- Troubleshoot performance issues, hardware failures, and software bugs
- Develop automation scripts
- Ensure secure system configurations
- Deploy and maintain containerized applications
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in Linux server design and administration
- 5+ years of experience in Networking
- Experience with virtual and physical network functions
- Professional experience with BGP, VXLAN, and other WAN technologies
- Experience with Identity Management tools (e.g., FreeIPA, Keycloak)
- Proven experience in designing virtualized compute environments (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, LXC, KVM)
- Knowledge of Proxmox, KVM, Nginx, Apache, Exim, and Postfix
- Hands-on experience in one or more of the following: Linux scripting, Firewall, DNS
- Programming aptitude in one or more of the following: Python, Java, GO, Ruby, PHP
- Experience with cloud-related tools and products (e.g., Docker Swarm, Open vSwitch, Ceph)
- Experience in hosting
- Experience with Pterodactyl
- Familiarity with network device configuration and management (e.g., Arista, Cisco, Juniper)
- Proven success record of working with internet organizations to set industry direction
