We are seeking a Senior Cloud Linux Systems Administrator to manage and maintain client systems and our private cloud infrastructure, primarily based on Proxmox.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations for client cloud infrastructures.
- Provide proactive and reactive incident monitoring and resolution.
- Collaborate with various Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) providers.
- Establish new client environments and offer comprehensive support throughout project lifecycles.
- Test and certify new versions of our technology stack (e.g., PHP, PostgreSQL, Redis), ensuring secure and stable integration and updating corresponding Infrastructure as Code (IaC) repositories.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on managing high-availability infrastructure, including load balancing, replication, and failover.
- Advanced proficiency in Linux, particularly Ubuntu environments.
- Expertise in managing, configuring, and administering virtualization systems, especially Proxmox.
- Strong technical knowledge across our stack: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Nginx, CDN technology, HAProxy (load balancers), ElasticSearch and/or OpenSearch, Redis, Varnish, and PHP (configuration and optimization, not development).
- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for provisioning and configuration, preferably using Ansible.
- Experience in application deployments and/or collaborating with development teams on deployment processes.
- Proficiency in managing and configuring monitoring systems (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar).
- Knowledge of backup management for files and databases.
- Ability to develop automation scripts using Bash and/or Python.
- A team player who enjoys knowledge sharing.
- Capable of managing multiple client projects concurrently.
Valued Qualifications
- Experience with 24x7 support.
- Direct client support experience.
- Expertise in system hardening, firewall management (pfSense, iptables, nftables), and compliance with regulations (ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Familiarity with e-commerce software (Magento, Prestashop, WooCommerce), ERP systems (Odoo), and PHP frameworks like Laravel.
- Knowledge of public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience in WAF (Web Application Firewall) configuration and use.
- Proven ability to implement anti-DDOS measures.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
