About the Role
Our Intelligence team develops AI capabilities for the entire Tellent suite. We are seeking a backend-focused product engineer to transform conceptual AI ideas into trusted, user-friendly interfaces. This role involves end-to-end ownership, including shaping, building, shipping, and evaluating feature impact.
Your 12-Month Journey
First 3 Months:
- Get acquainted with the team, product, and architecture.
- Contribute to initial meaningful improvements.
- Become familiar with engineering practices and ways of working.
- Receive support from experienced teammates to learn Elixir and AI stack.
Within 6 Months:
- Take ownership of features.
- Contribute to technical discussions and code reviews.
- Improve platform scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with teammates to solve customer problems and deliver product enhancements.
After 1 Year:
- Become a trusted technical partner within the team.
- Own significant product components.
- Contribute to technical and architectural decisions.
- Share knowledge through collaboration, pair programming, and mentoring.
What You'll Be Doing
- Build AI-powered features for mature products with real users.
- Work across the stack as needed (primarily backend, with frontend comfort).
- Own delivered features, ensuring they are well-tested, maintainable, and meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with Backend and Frontend Engineers, Design, QA, and DevOps to solve complex problems and deliver product improvements.
What You Bring
- Commercial experience with Elixir, or strong backend development experience in Ruby on Rails, Python, Java, or PHP with a strong motivation to learn Elixir.
- Experience with Typescript and Mastra (AI TypeScript framework) or a strong willingness to learn.
- Senior-level judgment, understanding when a solution is sufficient.
- Product thinking, including challenging specifications, evaluating trade-offs, cheap prototyping, and data-driven decision-making.
- Interest in building with AI; hands-on LLM/feature experience is a plus, as is curiosity and shipped experiments.
- Fluent English communication skills; Polish is a plus.
