Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior professional to lead the technical evolution of our integration and orchestration platform, centered around Kestra as the operational core. This role is ideal for someone who masters backend development, understands architecture, enjoys solving complex problems, and wants to practically apply Artificial Intelligence (AI) to automate and enhance internal processes.

You will be a reference point for technical quality, reliability, integrations, and intelligent automation.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in backend development (Kotlin, Java, PHP, Python, or equivalent stack).
• Consistent experience with system integrations, APIs, messaging, and distributed services.
• Experience with orchestration platforms such as Kestra, Airflow, or Prefect.
• Practical knowledge of AI applied to engineering, including LLMs, intelligent automation, copilots, agents, or assisted analysis.
• Solid foundation in software architecture, integration patterns, and engineering best practices.
• Experience with AWS, automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD, and containers.
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
• Mastery of observability, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to take ownership of areas and lead complex technical initiatives.
• Good communication skills and maturity for working with cross-functional teams.

Senior Backend Engineer Responsibilities (Integrations, Platform, and AI)

• Assume technical leadership of Kestra, ensuring continuous evolution, best practices, and pipeline governance.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and critical integrations between systems like Magento, ERP, CRM, and internal platforms.
• Apply AI practically daily, creating solutions such as intelligent automations, internal copilots, assisted pipeline generation, incident analysis, and operational support.
• Evolve the platform architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and performance in a high-transaction environment.
• Implement automations and observability mechanisms to increase stability and response speed.
• Work with the AWS ecosystem to support integrations, processing, and backend services.
• Support cost and performance optimization initiatives with a FinOps mindset.
• Collaborate effectively with engineering and business areas, raising the technical standard of solutions.

Highly Desired Qualifications (A Plus)

• Experience in e-commerce or high-transaction environments.
• Familiarity with the AWS data ecosystem.
• Knowledge of security, LGPD (General Data Protection Law), and engineering practices focused on data protection.
• Experience with generative AI solutions aimed at automation and operational efficiency.
• Experience designing and evolving internal platforms.
