We are seeking a senior professional to lead the technical evolution of our integration and orchestration platform, centered around Kestra as the operational core. This role is ideal for someone who masters backend development, understands complex architecture, enjoys solving challenging problems, and is eager to practically apply Artificial Intelligence (AI) to automate and enhance internal processes. You will serve as a key reference point for technical quality, reliability, system integrations, and intelligent automation.

Senior Backend Engineer: Key Responsibilities (Integrations, Platform & AI)

• Assume technical leadership of the Kestra platform, ensuring continuous evolution, adherence to best practices, and robust pipeline governance.
• Design, develop, and maintain critical backend services and integrations between core systems (e.g., Magento, ERP, CRM) and internal platforms.
• Apply AI practically in daily operations, creating solutions such as intelligent automations, internal copilots, assisted pipeline generation, incident analysis, and operational support.
• Evolve the platform architecture to guarantee scalability, security, and high performance in a high-transaction environment.
• Implement automation and observability mechanisms to significantly increase system stability and response speed.
• Utilize the AWS ecosystem to support integrations, data processing, and backend services.
• Support cost and performance optimization initiatives, maintaining a strong FinOps mindset.
• Collaborate effectively with engineering and business teams, consistently raising the technical standard of delivered solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in backend development (Kotlin, Java, PHP, Python, or equivalent stack).
• Consistent experience with system integrations, APIs, messaging, and distributed services.
• Proven experience with orchestration platforms such as Kestra, Airflow, or Prefect.
• Practical knowledge of AI applied to engineering, including LLMs, intelligent automations, copilots, agents, or assisted analysis.
• Solid foundation in software architecture, integration patterns, and engineering best practices.
• Experience with AWS, automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD, and containers.
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
• Mastery of observability, monitoring, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to take ownership of technical areas and lead complex technical initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills and maturity for working effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications (A Plus)

• Experience in e-commerce or high-transaction environments.
• Familiarity with the AWS data ecosystem.
• Knowledge of security practices, LGPD (General Data Protection Law), and data protection engineering.
• Experience with generative AI solutions focused on automation and operational efficiency.
• Experience designing and evolving internal platforms.
