Senior Back-end Developer Job Description

Responsibilities and Attributions:

• Collaborate on defining solution architecture for complex problems, ensuring code is efficient, scalable, testable, and easily maintainable.
• Develop strategic products for Méliuz, adhering to established coding best practices and architectural standards.
• Develop and evolve applications utilizing REST APIs and gRPC, and integrate with third-party APIs and platforms like AWS.
• Design and implement application data persistence, ensuring secure and efficient access.
• Work closely with leadership and development engineers to evolve and enhance the scalability of Méliuz systems/products.
• Disseminate technical knowledge to other team members.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience working with relational databases (specifically MySQL or PostgreSQL).
• Experience developing client-server applications, REST APIs, and gRPC.
• Experience developing with testing (unit and integration) and CI/CD environments.
• Experience with version control tools, especially Git.
• Experience implementing scalable architectures in a cloud environment, primarily AWS.
• Understanding of event-driven architecture and microservices.
• Experience developing applications using Python.
• Experience with application monitoring and performance analysis tools (Datadog, Grafana).
• Experience developing applications using containerization.

Preferred Qualifications (Stand Out If You Have):

• Experience working on projects migrating monolithic environments to microservices-oriented architecture.
• Experience with AWS services.
• Experience working with NoSQL databases (especially DynamoDB).
• A continuous improvement mindset, constantly seeking incremental enhancements for applications, services, and products.
• Experience developing applications with Node.js.
• Knowledge of web applications using React.
• Knowledge of PHP.
• Knowledge of Golang.
