Uni Systems is dedicated to transforming digital visions into reality. We are seeking a professional Web GIS Developer to join our UniQue Ispra team. This role focuses on providing technical support to a European Institution for the continuous development of database and front-end components within climate monitoring systems. Key responsibilities include maintaining and enhancing web platforms hosted by the European Institution to ensure international user communities have online access to these critical tools.

In addition to technical duties, this position involves working closely with public sector customers. You will be responsible for identifying profitable opportunities to develop new business, managing your client portfolio by fostering strong, long-lasting relationships, and monitoring project progress to deliver excellent client service and added value.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web-based interfaces for the eStation 3.0 and Climate Station, based on user community requirements.
• Prepare installation and upgrade packages for applications, including necessary database updates, and validate their functionality.
• Create and update comprehensive user documentation, including GUI descriptions and manuals.
• Support the preparation of training materials for web interfaces, such as screenshots, diagrams, tutorials, and videos.
• Provide user support and conduct training sessions as required.
• Maintain and update the dedicated eStation website, including content publication.
• Oversee the installation and maintenance of applications on development and production servers, including web clients.

Required Skills & Experience

• Master’s degree combined with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience utilizing ExtJS and PostgreSQL.
• Strong foundational knowledge of web application development, application design principles, and GIS technologies.
• Proven experience with DBMS administration and development (PostgreSQL/PostGIS).
• Proficiency in Web GIS tools (OpenLayers, Leaflet), GIS servers (MapServer, GeoServer), OGC web services (WMS, WCS, WPS), and front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Drupal, PHP).
• Basic knowledge of Earth Observation data processing, GDAL, Google Earth Engine, and Python.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems and containerized applications (Docker).
• Experience with code testing frameworks, IDEs, and version control (Git/GitHub) is a plus.
• Strong presentation and training skills are considered an asset.
• Proficient in English (B1 level or higher).
