A certain number of positions require full-time presence in the office
As a Senior Software Developer, you will work with a talented team to support one of the largest advertising platforms in the world, which serves billions of daily impressions. You won't be bored, as most of your time will be spent playing in the code.
What you will do:
- Design, develop, and maintain microservices, APIs, and applications built around the PHP language and the Symfony framework.
- Exploit the full potential of various backend technologies to leverage real-time pipeline processing of large and secure data.
- Work with caches, message queues, databases, and various internal and external systems.
- Foster team spirit and an atmosphere of learning and growth by interacting with, leading, and training junior and intermediate teammates.
- Take ownership of components and domain knowledge, guide your peers through pull requests and code reviews, and participate in spreading the development culture, processes, and values shared by the team.
What you will need to succeed:
Essential skills:- Related professional experience of at least 5 years as a backend software developer
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or computer engineering is an asset
- Excellent knowledge of a web language (PHP, Java Web, Python, GO, etc.)
- Understanding of computational and data complexity, scalability, and security
- Good knowledge of applicable design patterns and algorithms
- Ability to design, build, and manage efficient applications and components
- Experience with the PHP language and a framework (Lumen, Yii, Laravel, Symfony, etc.)
- Experience with Docker, ELK, RabbitMQ, Redis, and GitLabCI
- In-depth knowledge of database technologies to scale high-volume websites (Redis, Memcached)
- Experience managing large-scale websites receiving millions of visits per day
