About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Linux Administrator to join our dynamic Ops team. This team operates at the intersection of infrastructure and software development, providing critical support for applications built with PHP and Go.
The Ops team ensures the stability, security, and reliability of our production infrastructure and services. Responsibilities span virtual machines, databases, CI/CD, monitoring, automation, and internal platform services including Thanos, Prometheus, Grafana, Ceph, and profiling systems.
Our robust infrastructure comprises over 2,000 virtual machines and 500 physical servers, managed by an experienced engineering team. We embrace Scrum, Agile, and a data-driven approach, with two-week sprints focused on continuous improvement.
This is a full-time remote position with flexible start times, anytime before 12:00 pm EET/EEST.

You will collaborate directly with development teams, providing expertise in troubleshooting infrastructure-related issues and ensuring the reliable operation of services in production.
This role is ideal for an engineer passionate about troubleshooting, automation, and enhancing infrastructure reliability and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer Linux servers (Ubuntu) across development and production environments.
- Manage PostgreSQL databases and Greenplum clusters, including performance and reliability troubleshooting.
- Administer and support KeyDB, ClickHouse, and Kafka.
- Configure and maintain infrastructure services such as Nginx, Jenkins, GitLab CI, DataHub, Allure, and Airflow.
- Automate infrastructure and operational tasks using Ansible, alongside scripting with Python, Bash, and other languages.
- Work within Docker and Kubernetes environments, including application deployments with Helm.
- Monitor production systems, troubleshoot incidents, and improve system performance and reliability.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI and Jenkins.
- Manage OpenStack and AWS infrastructure.
- Provide infrastructure support to development teams for their working environments and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with the Infrastructure team on troubleshooting and coordinating infrastructure changes, including new hardware provisioning.
- Contribute to security practices and PCI DSS requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience administering Linux servers in production environments.
- Strong practical knowledge of Linux internals, networking, system services, and troubleshooting.
- Experience administering PostgreSQL and/or Greenplum.
- Proficiency with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible for infrastructure automation.
- Good scripting skills in Python and/or Bash.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD, specifically GitLab CI and/or Jenkins.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and system profiling tools, particularly Prometheus and Grafana.
- Fluent Russian (C2 or higher) for team communication.
- English B1+ for technical documentation and written communication.
Desirable Qualifications
- DBA experience, including hands-on administration of databases and data infrastructure.
- Experience with Patroni.
- Experience supporting high-load or distributed production systems.
- Experience with AWS and OpenStack.
- Familiarity with PCI DSS.
- Experience reading and/or writing code in PHP/Go.
- Experience with Chef.
- Experience in fintech/trading environments.
