Job Description

• System Operation and Maintenance: You perform updates, security optimizations, and regular maintenance measures to ensure stable and secure system operation
• Backend Development: The conception, development, and further development of backend functionalities with PHP and Symfony is your responsibility
• Take End-to-End Responsibility: You operate our mobile-specific IT systems (e.g., booking platforms) and are responsible for them throughout the lifecycle
• Scale Systems: You take care of the setup and further development of our Linux-based infrastructure – from server setup and automation to CI/CD processes, as well as ensuring stability and performance through monitoring, logging, and ongoing optimizations
• Work in a Team: Close cooperation with product management, frontend development, and other departments within an IT task force in the mobile communications sector – with a focus on backend, DevOps, as well as the scaling and further development of the systems, characterizes your daily work routine

Qualifications

• Qualification: You have an excellent degree in computer science, business informatics, mathematics, physics, or a comparable field
• Understanding of Web Architecture: Basic knowledge of web technologies and communication standards such as HTTP, RESTful APIs, and frontend/backend communication is familiar to you
• Database Knowledge: You confidently use relational databases such as MySQL in your daily development work
• Fullstack Readiness: You are interested in implementing features in the backend as well and developing yourself further in this area
• Practical Experience: You have very good knowledge of CI/CD processes, Docker-based environments, as well as monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Grafana). In addition, interest in programming languages such as Go, PHP, or Python, as well as pleasure in developing clean and scalable code
• Tech Stack: You bring very good practical experience in the Linux environment as well as with configuration and deployment tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, or Chef).
