Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Remote Web Changes & Support Specialist to manage website updates, support, and maintenance for our custom WordPress sites. This role requires expertise in WordPress, including Gutenberg Full Site Editor, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic PHP, as well as experience working within a ticketing system. The ideal candidate will also have strong skills in quality control, ensuring that websites meet high standards for functionality, performance, and design. Due to the high demand for web support and frequent updates, candidates should be prepared to handle a fast-paced workload and manage multiple requests efficiently. The candidate will need excellent communication skills, a history of working in web support roles, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement website updates, content changes, and feature enhancements for custom WordPress sites.
- Utilize Gutenberg Full Site Editor for site customization and management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance, security, and functionality issues.
- Manage domain registrations, renewals, and DNS configurations.
- Oversee website hosting, server configurations, and SSL certificate management.
- Modify and update HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic PHP within WordPress themes and plugins.
- Work within a ticketing system to track, manage, and prioritize support requests.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with clients and internal teams regarding project updates and issue resolution.
- Ensure websites are mobile-responsive and cross-browser compatible.
- Conduct thorough quality control checks and audits to ensure websites meet functional, performance, security, and design standards.
- Deliver high-level customer service, responding to client requests and concerns efficiently.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Web Changes & Support Specialist role or a similar position.
- Proven experience working with custom WordPress websites.
- Expertise in Gutenberg Full Site Editor for site customization and management.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic PHP.
- Experience with cPanel, domain management, DNS settings, and SSL certificates.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Teamwork, Zendesk, Freshdesk, Jira, or similar) and ability to manage support workflows.
- Proficiency in quality control, ensuring websites meet high standards of functionality, security, and performance.
- Excellent team collaboration and client communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve website issues quickly and effectively.
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage high demand and multiple tasks while maintaining quality.
- Must be available to work on Eastern Standard Time (ET).
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):
- Familiarity with API integrations and MySQL database management.
- Understanding of SEO best practices for WordPress sites.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
