About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Senior Engineer who is AI-native and passionate about building modern, scalable web applications. This role requires deep expertise in Next.js, TypeScript, React, SQL, and API-driven architectures, along with hands-on experience using Cursor or similar AI-assisted development tools.
The ideal candidate has successfully led legacy code modernization initiatives utilizing agentic AI-driven Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices. You'll play a key role in modernizing enterprise applications, building scalable APIs, collaborating across Product, UX, and Engineering teams, and delivering high-quality software that powers mission-critical business solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack web applications using Next.js, React, TypeScript, SQL, and RESTful APIs.
- Lead code modernization and transformation projects using agentic AI-powered development workflows.
- Utilize Cursor and AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate software development and improve code quality.
- Build and maintain API-heavy integrations with internal and third-party systems.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, Researchers, and Engineering teams to design and deliver exceptional user experiences.
- Design resilient, secure, and highly available applications following modern cloud engineering principles.
- Perform code reviews, maintain build health, support release management, and mentor fellow engineers.
- Partner with data scientists and analysts to develop scalable, customer-focused solutions.
- Present technical concepts and architectural decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Full Stack Web Engineering.
- Strong expertise with:
- Next.js
- React
- TypeScript
- SQL
- RESTful APIs
- Experience using Cursor or similar AI-powered development tools.
- Proven success modernizing legacy applications using AI-driven SDLC methodologies.
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and MV* architectures (MVC, MVVM).
- Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs and webhooks.
- Experience with unit, integration, and performance testing using tools such as Jest, JUnit, Mockito, Spock, Cucumber, Karma, Mocha, or Jasmine.
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or DynamoDB.
- Understanding of modern web technologies including DNS, REST, APIs, SQL, and cloud-native application design.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in an Agile environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Python for data science or data engineering.
- Experience modernizing PHP/MySQL applications.
- Experience building or supporting SaaS platforms.
- Experience working in two-week Agile sprint cycles.
Pay: $155,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year
